Type A silica gel, also called narrow pore silica gel, is transparent or translucent particles. The main component is silicon dioxide. It is an important adsorbent, suitable for drying various industrial gases, such as air, oxygen, hydrogen and organic gases, as well as moisture-proofing of instruments, electrical appliances, textiles, food, medicines, clothing, shoes and hats, containers and other packaging items, dehydration and refining of organic products, and air humidity regulation. It can absorb flammable and explosive gases such as acetylene from compressed air.
